Once the private home of the Marquis de Sers, the Hotel de Sers opened in 2004 after an 11 million makeover by its new owners, the Vidalenc family. The entrance lobby is very grand with a carving marble stairway and gallery of 19th century portraits; thereafter the mood changes from Old World to futuristic, wth bold-coloured chairs and a sleek marble bar edged with steel. The 52 rooms and suites feature parquet floors, plush carpets, raspberry coloured loveseats and platform beds.
